Additionally, in order to exercise any of your rights under the VCDPA if you are a Virginia resident, you can contact us:
- By email: [email protected]
- By phone: +1 415-852-7250
We only comply with requests when we can authenticate that you are a Virginia resident exercising your rights regarding your personal data. We may need additional information from you to match the information we already have about you in order to authenticate your request.
We aim to authenticate and respond to your requests within 45 days of receipt but may require a total of 90 days to respond to your requests. If we require additional time beyond the initial 45 days and that time is reasonably necessary, we will let you know within the first 45 days.
If we determine that we cannot or will not take the action that you requested, we will let you know. We will inform you of our reasons for not taking action and any rights you may have to appeal the decision.
The VCDPA does not apply in full to all personal data we collect from Virginia residents. Therefore, even if you are a Virginia resident and submit an authenticated request, we may not be required to comply with your request.
Information provided in response to a consumer request shall be provided free of charge, up to twice annually per consumer. If requests are manifestly unfounded, excessive, or repetitive, we may charge a reasonable fee to cover the administrative costs of complying with the request or decline to act on the request.
Opt-out of targeted ads, sale and profiling
Please note that as we understand the terms “sell” and “profile” as the terms are used in the VCDPA, we do not sell personal information or use it for “profiling”. We do allow service providers to use your personal information for the business purposes described in our Privacy Policy, for activities such as advertising, marketing, and analytics, and these may be deemed a sale under VCPDA.
You have the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information. To opt out, click on the cookie preferences widget on the bottom left of the screen to review your privacy preferences and opt out of the selling or sharing of your personal data. You will need to opt out from each browser that you use to access the website.
The opt out will place a cookie on your computer that is unique to the browser you use to opt out. If you change browsers or delete the cookies saved by your browser, you will need to opt out again.
Note that when you opt out using the cookie preferences button, this opt-out only covers personal information that is generated on our website, such as your IP address, your browsing history or your browser information. This opt-out does not cover personal information that we receive in a different way, such as your name and email address when you send us an email.
