NOW TV launches to compete with Netflix, other streaming services

In an effort to compete with other media companies offering on-demand video streaming, Sky recently unveiled its NOW TV service, which allows customers to take advantage of a monthly subscription fee or a pay-as-you-go pricing model. NOW TV even lets individuals stream a wide variety of movies and videos on personal mobile devices.

“Following the explosion in internet-connected devices, we know that more and more people are looking for great content to watch over the web, and that’s where NOW TV comes in,” NOW TV director Simon Creasey said. “Offering a new and exciting way to enjoy Sky Movies on some of the most popular internet-connected devices, NOW TV gives films fans everywhere a new choice.”

NOW TV is also be available for customers with PCs and Macs and will soon be accessible via popular gaming consoles like Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

By leveraging a subscription billing and management platform, NOW TV and similar subscription commerce companies can better manage their customer lifecycles. As a result, customer satisfaction can be improved, allowing for organizations to develop stronger, long-term relationships with customers.
