Aria Systems Appoints Howard E. Goldberg to Board of Directors
PHILADELPHIA, February 22, 2008 - Aria Systems, the leading provider of on demand transaction and customer management solutions, today announced the appointment of Howard E.Goldberg to its board of directors. A 35-year technology veteran, Goldberg is currently providing strategic and operational advisory services through an independently owned entity and is additionally an Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Internet Capital Group, which acquires and builds on-demand Internet software companies, while serving on the board of mobile video portal leader DSPV Ltd.

Goldberg previously served as President and CEO of InterDigital, Inc., which designs, develops and provides advanced wireless technologies and products that drive voice and data communications. Over a twelve-year period with multiple senior responsibilities at InterDigital, Goldberg significantly grew the company’s revenues and was responsible for establishing the strategies, programs and structures underlying the company’s global partnering and licensing successes.
Earlier to InterDigital, Goldberg served as a key member of the management team that led Sensormatic Electronics, Inc. (now a subsidiary of Tyco International, Ltd.) to its first year of profitable operations and its position of global leadership in the electronic article surveillance (EAS) industry. Goldberg also served, by appointment, as Special Counsel, International Corporate Finance, at the Securities and Exchange Commission during a formative period in the SEC’s internationalization initiatives.
Goldberg’s leadership qualities and business achievements have been recognized through receipt of the Ernst and Young LLP award as Entrepreneur of the Year (Technology and Related Services category), Philadelphia and Central-Eastern Pennsylvania (2004), and the Eastern Technology Council award as CEO of the Year (2003).
Goldberg joins Mark Gorenberg, Managing Director at Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, who joined the Aria board in October 2007.
