Aria Systems and MarketShare Announce Partnership to Help SaaS Vendors Drive Revenue and Accelerate

Media, PA - April 16, 2007 - Today, Aria Systems, the leading provider of SaaS-optimized billing and customer management solutions, and MarketShare, a leading software pricing consultancy, announced that they have partnered to deliver “Value On-Demand” services. “Value On-Demand” helps vendors improve business results through sound pricing practices and the tight integration of pricing strategy with back office operations (such as cash flow management, automated usage rating & calculation, and fraud detection).

Pricing services, delivered by MarketShare, include strategically driven recommendations on packaging and pricing along with economic modeling. Aria provides pricing integration, configuration and implementation services for their billing and customer management solution. Via the newly announced partnership, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) vendors can now capture the full value - in terms of revenue and cash flow - that their solution delivers to end-user businesses.
The “Value On-Demand” services address two key challenges faced by SaaS vendors seeking aggressive and profitable revenue growth. First, the services help clients articulate pricing and support based on the measurable value their applications deliver to end-user businesses - avoiding instances where per-user or per-transaction metrics are inappropriate. Second, the services enable the integration of pricing strategy and policies with a configurable billing system - so SaaS companies can engineer a back office that fully supports sophisticated, “value-based” pricing and recurring transactions.

“It just makes good business sense to consider the close relationship between pricing and billing as early as possible, and certainly before the introduction of new products and services,” said Ed Sullivan, Founder & CEO of Aria Systems. “By working with MarketShare, we can help our customers identify their optimum pricing model and then efficiently translate that model into a workable and scalable back office solution.”

“Too often, well thought out pricing models under-perform because of poor back office implementation,” said Jim Geisman Founder & Principal of MarketShare. “When SaaS companies align pricing with the value they deliver and their billing system, they improve their long-term prospects and shorten their time to profit.”

The “Value On-Demand” services will be jointly marketed by Aria Systems and MarketShare and will be available independently or as a package.

Representatives from Aria will be available at SaaSCon (Booth #411) to discuss their new partnership with MarketShare and demonstrate their Billing & Customer Management solution. Aria’s CEO, Ed Sullivan, will take part in a panel discussion titled “Understanding the Pay-As-You-Go Model: How Should SaaS Vendors Charge for Their Service?” Tuesday, April 17th at 1:45 PM.
