AlikeList Accelerates Time-to-Market With Aria Billing and Subscription Management Platform

Social-Local Firm Adds the Ability to Easily Monetize the Millions of Local Businesses Listed in Its Service

The Aria Platform provides a combination of subscription and usage-based billing to support AlikeList’s platform for local businesses. Now, any of the 14 million businesses listed on AlikeList can sign-up for AlikeList’s business services, to help them build trusted relationships with their customers and drive highly qualified new business contacts.

AlikeList’s local marketplace provides valuable contacts and leads to local business owners who understand the opportunity in leveraging word-of-mouth referrals to generate new business. People are more likely to select a business based on a referral from a trusted friend. AlikeList brings traditional word-of-mouth referrals online by letting users easily “Like” a business and add it to their “LikeList™” and then share this information with their personal network of friends, family and neighbors. People can also conveniently save businesses they want to “Try” to their “TryList” for future reference. Businesses benefit because their loyal customers are effectively promoting their business to their personal network. For example, when an AlikeList user searches for a plumber, she’ll be able to see who in her trusted network has recommended which plumber. AlikeList chose Aria’s on-demand billing solution so that they could get to market quickly with their products and services, without spending unnecessary development cycles building a home-grown billing system. AlikeList needed to support multi-tiered transactions and to automatically and instantly activate services on account signup without any delays associated with manual activation or provisioning processes. Aria integrates with PayPal’s Payflow Pro online payment gateway as well as AlikeList’s QuickBooks general ledger.
